I live in S. California where coyotes are a very common sight. If you are worried about them harming you...don't be. They are basically no threat to you. If you have small children or a small dog..do not let them outside unsupervised, especially at dusk and dark. Keep cats indoors. Coyotes will commonly take cats and small dogs. Coyotes are not usually pack animals..they mostly are loners or work in pairs. You may see family groups as well, parents with pups..but they do not form large packs to hunt. Coyotes are generally pretty small.. they do not weigh much, most weigh around 30-35 pounds. They may look larger due to their fluffy fur. If you want to deter them from your property, make sure to keep trash cans secure, and make sure you have no food or water souces around your house. They will come and eat trash, cat food, etc. that is left out. Other than that...just give them their space and they will give you yours.

I'm not sure what the question is. coyotes don't get very big though. they usually weigh around thirty pounds. In the winter they have a quite thick coat which makes them appear larger than they really are.
